Manulatex PPE for the food industry, gloves and aprons

Personal protective equipment (PPE) for the food industry

The food industry is our core business. Manulatex designs and manufactures personal protective equipment (PPE) for professionals in meat processing, catering and retail, as well as for the dairy and cheese industries, fishmongers and oyster farmers.

The range covers chainmail gloves (category II PPE), metallic aprons and tunics (category III PPE since 2021), work aprons (most often category I PPE) and oversleeves (workwear).

Manulatex offers chainmail gloves, metallic aprons and tunics, work aprons and oversleeves for meat processing, dairy and cheese-making, fish processing, catering and retail.

Chainmail gloves are category II PPE (NF EN 1082-1, NF EN 14328, ISO 13999-1). Metallic aprons and tunics have been certified category III PPE since 2021 (NF EN ISO 13998). Work aprons are most often category I PPE (NF EN ISO 13688). All of this falls under EU regulation 2016/425.

Yes for the chainmail, which is 100% high-quality stainless steel. Several work aprons and oversleeves are also rated for food contact; exceptions, test conditions and conditions of use are listed in the food-contact declaration, to be checked before use.

Chainmail gloves are presented on the chainmail gloves page, work aprons on the Food industry work aprons page, and oversleeves on the Food industry oversleeves page.
